Infantry Squad Battle Course

Suhail was the prime consultant for this project under a five year contract with the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

Development of programming documents for an Infantry Squad Battle Course (ISBC) on the existing Kennedy Range at Fort Knox, KY including validation of the 1391 estimate, concept design, and recommendations for USACE MILCON project submission. Design services included civil, architecture, structural, MEP, communications, environmental, and cost estimating. Estimates were developed using PACES for vertical structures and MII for horizontal components, including site work.

The ISBC included range and range operations and control areas. The range area included stationary and mobile infantry and armor target installations, mortar simulation devices, trench obstacles and machine gun bunkers grouped into five objective areas. The ROCA structures included a Range Control Tower, Operations/Storage Building, Classroom Building, Latrine, Covered Mess, Ammunition Breakdown Building, and Bleacher Enclosure.
