Professional services were provided to the Department of the Army for the design of a bridge on a tank trail across Sand Creek in Camp Ravenna. This structure required unique finite element analysis in order to determine the distribution due to the 80 ton tank load specified for this project. Twin existing Bailey bridges were replaced with a new structure designed to current LRFD and ODOT Standards. Newly developed modified bulb-T pre-stressed beams were utilized on this project. These beams are extremely slender and fit in perfectly within the limited structural depth available on the project due to the Q100 hydraulic water elevation. Roadway approach redesign was also required.
